Hi,
Notation Composer does not automatically read pdf files and import the notation into a file, but you can read our page at http://www.notation.com/Articles-MusicOCR.htm about reading/scanning existing sheet music and getting it into Composer. I do that myself sometimes  ttfn, Sherry
