Howdy Herbert,

He indeed is a master! He has some excellent articles about music in general that anyone can access from his Articles page at http://www.chuckisraels.com/articles.htm

Yes! I didn't know you were a "low life" as well - I'm in great company, then

Some years ago I was teaching bass to an exchange student from South Korea. He was so excited to be learning that he wanted to play a bass duet with me for our church's Christmas program. That was the first (and only time so far) that I've been able to do something like that with another bass player. And boy, was it fun It was a jazzy arrangement of "O Come All Ye Faithful" that I came up with that was pretty easy and open, and leant itself well to covering any mistakes that we might make

ttfn,
Sherry

Howdy friends,

If anyone knows of other resources such as the "Exploring Jazz Arranging" course, please feel free to post them here, or start a new thread. This would be a great place to share information like this. The internet makes it so easy to get lots of information that it's helpful to have the good stuff listed conveniently

ttfn,
Sherry
