Convert Tie Command
1 Attachment(s)
I've lost a "how to". I'm certain that I've used the "qct" command to convert a dotted half note (3 beats) tied to an eighth note to a doubly dotted half note (3 and-a-half beats). I know I've done this, so it probably means the command syntax is something other that qct. I've scoured to User Guide and can't find my memory.
Attached is a VERY simple example of tied notes that I want to convert. |
Re: Convert Tie Command
Hi, Ralph:
I think the command is just 'ct' rather than 'qct'. Mark had run out of 'q' combinations by then, I guess. All the best. David (Just did a check and it is 'ct'.) D |
Re: Convert Tie Command
Thank you, David. That indeed the trick. RRR

Re: Convert Tie Command
Hi guys,
David, thanks for confirming that for Ralph. This is not a "q" command shortcut because it is specific for the palette (Notes/Ties) and only applies to the item that is selected, in this case the tie. In other words, you have to have a tie selected (which switches the palette tools) for the "ct" shortcut to effect any change to the tie. Just a note that these types of shortcuts can be displayed in the tool tips if you hover your mouse over the buttons in any given tool palette. ttfn, Sherry |
